The April/May 2013 issue of the Heath Herald announced that the current long-time volunteers would be stepping down and they were looking for a new group with "energetic and enthusiastic minds and voices" to continue producing the newspaper.

A new group has formed and will produce the next issue of the Heath Herald without interruption.  The August/September issue will honor the longtime tradition of featuring the annual Heath Fair and its events.  It will also include longstanding contributors as well as incorporating new ideas.  

Though changes are inevitable, the mission of the original staff of the Heath Herald rose out of a desire to foster a sense of community and fellowship will remain. 

Two changes that have already occurred are the addition of an online subscription form, and having an option of how you receive your issue of the Herald: as a PDF file by email or as a printed copy by mail.
